The story is set in Victorian England. Rose’s lives a privileged life but her twin has been sent to boarding school and she is trying to make new friends. She dislikes the unfairness of those who are rich and those who are poor and for those who are girls and those who are boys. Meeting their new housemaid Clover, brings a new aspect to Rose’s life.
