The Other Side of Truth

by Beverley Naidoo

When twelve-year-old Sade’s mother is killed, she and her brother Femi must flee Nigeria in secret. Their journey to Britain is dangerous—and illegal—and they can’t tell anyone, not even their closest friends.

But when they arrive in London, they’re abandoned and alone. Faced with hardship and uncertainty, Sade holds on to her father’s words: stand up for what’s right, and always tell the truth. With courage and determination, she fights for the safe, new life her family deserves.
