The Story Machine

by Tom McLaughlin

Elliott loves discovering things, so when he finds a strange machine one day, he’s curious. It doesn’t light up or beep like his other machines, and there’s no obvious way to turn it on.

But then, by accident, Elliott gets it to work—it produces letters! Could it be a story machine? The only problem is Elliott struggles with words. He’s much better at pictures.

Then he realizes something wonderful: some of the letters look just like pictures. And pictures, he learns, can tell magical stories too.
