by Elizabeth Laird

Omar’s life in Syria is filled with school, friends, and dreams—until war shatters everything. Omar is determined to be successful when he grows up and he doesn’t really care about politics but when his brother gets mixed up with political activists, Omar and his family are forced to flee. The shadow of war however, continues to follow them and their dangerous journey out of their homeland begins. Being a refugee will be like nothing Omar has ever known.
