Snow White in New York

by Fiona French

Set in 1920s New York, this reimagining of Snow White follows a young woman targeted by her power-hungry stepmother, a figure deeply entrenched in the city’s criminal underworld. When a hitman is sent to eliminate her, he can’t go through with it and leaves her to survive on her own. Lost and alone, she finds refuge in a lively jazz club, where seven compassionate musicians take her in and make her part of their act. Her voice soon captures the attention of a determined reporter, catapulting her into the spotlight—only to draw the attention of the dangerous woman who once tried to have her silenced.
