The Boy At the Back of the Class

by Onjali Q. Rauf

On an ordinary school day, everything changes when a boy with pale skin, lion eyes, and a worn red rucksack arrives. Ahmet, the new refugee student, doesn’t speak English and sits quietly at the back, becoming an easy target for bullies and gossip.

But one classmate sees beyond the rumours and is determined to help Ahmet find his family—no matter how many plans it takes, even if they need to enlist the Queen herself.
