Life is looking bleak for Varjak Paw. He finds himself in the harshest of winters and has been labelled as an outlaw by the terrifying Sally Bones. As food becomes scarce and Varjak is being ruthlessly hunted down by the Bones’ gang, he realises that he has no choice but to take great risks and put a lot of faith in the story of an old cat.
