Mirror

by Jeannie Baker

This unique picture book tells two stories at once—one from the left, one from the right—following the daily lives of two boys: one in busy Sydney, Australia, the other in rural Morocco.

Though their worlds seem completely different, the journey of a handmade Moroccan carpet weaves their lives together. In the end, both families are connected in quiet, meaningful ways—one enjoying the rug in their home, the other exploring the wider world online.
